Its Wednesday again so its time for WWW Wednesday. This meme is currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words

To take part all you need to do is answer the following questions:

I am currently reading Her Mother’s Hope by Francine Rivers. I am still in the first 100 pages but enjoying it so far.Its a beautiful story. Quite a big book but I am reading it slowly, savoring each page, getting lost in Marta’s dreams.

Merely Alive by Lalae Mozie
merely alive

I found this book last Saturday while shopping around Nairobi. The street vendor was selling it at only 50 shillings, that’s half a dollar. Whats interesting is that the copy i found was actually autographed by the author with the words, ‘ To Olivia, Love, Lalae‘. I don’t know who Olivia is but wherever she is, I hope she will one day know that her book made it all the way to Africa! This book is more of young adult fiction although the theme is quite serious. Its about Nazis and Auschwitz. The main character is a young Jewish girl who finds herself at the concentration camp. I have read up to the part where she is trying to escape from the camp.

Recently finished

Halos

I recently finished reading Halos by Kristen Heitzmann. It was a beautiful Christian fiction on love, friendship and the power of prayers. I will be sharing my review of the book sometime this month.

tumor

The Tumor by John Grisham. This was a nonfiction legal thriller that the author was giving out for free. John Grisham said that this is the most important story that he has ever written. Click on the title of the book to learn more about it and get your free copy.

indexI have already borrowed this book from the library and I am supposed to return it on March 23rd. I hope to read it immediately I complete the Francine Rivers books.

    1. Thank you Sam. Happy Bookish Week.

Always so much fun participating in WWW and seeing everyone lists and getting ideas for my TRB. Thanks for hosting us.

  1. I hope you enjoy Me Before You. Actually, I’m not sure “enjoy” is the right word, but I thought the story was great and it opened my eyes to the difficulties faced by the severely disabled.

Thank you for visiting my WWW post earlier. Happy reading 🙂

    1. Thank you Claire. Just started reading the book. Got to the part where Louisa has been hired as the care giver. Excited to see where the story goes though.

      Happy reading too 🙂

  2. Merely Alive sounds really interesting, but then again I always find WWII related stories intriguing. I personally didn’t really like Me Before You, but there are also a lot of people out there who love the story… Hopefully you will belong to the second group. 🙂

    Happy reading! Here’s my WWW.

    1. Oh first person who didn’t like the book, was starting to think its the perfect one that appealed to all readers 🙂 Thank you Yvo, I hope to enjoy it. I will be posting a review soon.

Loved your list. Happy Reading too.

    1. Thank you so much and yes I am enjoying them though finding time is becoming tricky now. I also wonder what happened to make Olivia let go of her copy. I hope she just wanted someone else to enjoy the book and so she gave it out and it somehow ended up here.

      Happy reading too.
