Book Review: Partners: A Rogue Lawyer Short Story By John Grisham

Short Review

This is the second short story that I have read by John Grisham. The first one was The Tumor which was  non-fiction. However; Partners: A Rogue Lawyer Short Story is a legal thriller only that it is very short with only 50 pages. This is a prequel to Grisham’s book, Rogue Lawyer which I reviewed sometime back at the beginning of this year. You can read my review here.

Partners is a story about Sebastian Rudd, the lawyer and Tee Ray, his partner, bodyguard and law clerk and how the two met. Tee Ray was involved in a police shooting and the whole police department was baying for his blood. However, Rudd was hired to take up the case and he decides to fight for Tee Ray even though he knows that the case will get him in the bad books of all law enforcement officers. This is a story of Rudd’s fight for Tee Ray’s freedom.

Rogue LAWYER AGAIN

This short story is ideal for readers who have already read Rogue Lawyer or those who intend to do so.

Friday Finds

Friday Finds is a meme currently hosted by Books and a BeatThis is an opportunity to share the books that you have recently found and added to your TBR pile.

This week, I found six new books that I have now added to my bookshelf.

This Secret We’re Keeping by Rebecca Done- I mentioned this book in my posts yesterday. It was a random pick. I found it on Monday night and started reading it then. This is a book on a taboo topic, teacher-student relationship. I have never read anything on this so that is why I picked it. There are sections of the book that are pretty uncomfortable to read. I will share my review probably next week.

The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith- I saw this book being mentioned in another post. Unfortunately, I don’t remember who had reviewed it but the review made me get the book.

Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez- A friend gave me this book. I was excited by this new addition to my bookshelf because the title sounded familiar.

The next three books were recommended to me because I like thrillers. I hope to enjoy them.

Pretty Baby by Mary Kubica

Vulnerable by Mary Burton

Dark Hours by Ryan David Jahn

So those are the new additions to my bookshelf this week. Did you add any books to your shelves this week? Have you read any of the books on my list. Let me know. Happy Friday and Happy reading.
