WWW-Wednesday

This meme is currently hosted by Samantha @ https://samannelizabeth.wordpress.com-  Taking on a World of Words

To take part all you need to do is answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So here’s my 3 W’s for the week.

Recently Finished

Okay, since my last WWW,I have read the following books over the past two weeks:

After She Fell by Mary Jane Riley-Absolutely loved it.

The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza-Enjoyed this one

The Silent Wife by A.S.A Harrison-This really wasn’t for me.Not sure why it was compared to Gone Girl.Seriously though people need to stop comparing all psychological thrillers to Gone Girl.

Typing this on phone but will post full reviews next week.

I have just heard good things about this book.It has been described as traumatizing, creepy, weird yet fascinating so definitely my kind of book plus I have missed reading African Lit.

I need to return this one to the library on May 30th

  1. I hope you enjoy The Girl in the Ice if you get a chance to read it.Thank you,all went well. Thanks for the link.I am heading over to your blog now.Happy reading.

  2. I really wish people would stop the comparisons to Gone Girl as well. It’s so frustrating.

  3. Congratulations on surviving your exams 🙂
I am so tired of publishers selling books by comparing them to Gone Girl. I’m looking forward to your reviews, After She Fell and The Girl In The Ice are on my wishlist. I’ve heard Don’t You Cry is slow-paced, which is a bit different from her other books. I haven’t read any from Mary Kubica yet but I know I won’t start with this one.
    Happy reading

    1. Thank you Donna.I am definitely glad that exams are now done until up to August when I’ll have my finals 🙂

Don’t you cry is slower than Pretty Baby but it’s still interesting though I wish it was abit fastpaced. If you are looking for a good Kubica,Pretty Baby was really good.I hope that you will enjoy After She Fell and Girl in the Ice if you get to read them.

      Happy reading

  4. Glad to hear you enjoyed the Girl in the Ice. I’ve had it on my reading next for a while but am determined this will be the week I finally read it 🙂

Hope you enjoy Don’t You Cry. I found it a little on the slow side but there is some great characterization and a very twisty plot.

    1. I finished reading Don’t you cry on Friday.True,it was a bit slow and at some point,I kept wondering where the story was going.I liked the twists though I didn’t like the ending esp with Alex.

I hope you enjoy The Girl in the Ice.Thanks for the comment.Happy reading.
