Recently Finished

The Night Stalker by Robert BryndzaI really liked this book. You can read my ‘stunning’ review here.

Oh and I was definitely happy to receive these tweets from the author, Robert Bryndza.

All the Missing Girls by Miranda Megan- My review of this book will be up on the blog tomorrow.

americanahOINTB Season 4

Okay, I just had to add this here. I had planned on spending the weekend indoors reading but I got season 4 of Orange is the New Black on Friday night and so all reading was set aside. I won’t say anything about the season because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched it yet. However, I have to say that I was super pleased to see Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi on OINTB. I saw the scene, paused and had to go back and confirm what I had seen. It is awesome to see how well that book has been received worldwide. I was also happy to hear Atticus Finch mentioned during another scene although the character said that Atticus is from Killing a Mocking Jay lol. It was a great season with some good bookish moments.

Synopsis from goodreads

Margot Lewis is the agony aunt for The Cambridge Examiner. Her advice column, Dear Amy, gets all kinds of letters – but none like the one she’s just received:

Dear Amy,
I don’t know where I am. I’ve been kidnapped and am being held prisoner by a strange man. I’m afraid he’ll kill me.Please help me soon,Bethan Avery

Bethan Avery has been missing for years. This is surely some cruel hoax. But, as more letters arrive, they contain information that was never made public. How is this happening? Answering this question will cost Margot everything

This book is quite interesting so far.

    1. lol I didn’t even know what ‘Killing a Mocking Jay’ meant until later when I found out that she was confusing To Killing a Mockingbird and another Hunger Games book(haven’t read the former). It was hilarious though. I am really into thrillers of late and got lucky to have some titles approved by Netgalley.

Headed over to your post now. Happy reading.

  1. I still have to read The Girl in The Ice but I am so happy to hear the second book is as good as the first. Also, I love the sound of All The Missing Girls so I’m looking forward to your review 🙂 I need to rely on reviews not to add every book to my wishlist, or I’ll never see the end of it!
I am so behind on Orange Is The New Black! I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls and I can’t find time for two shows at once. Plus Suits will be on very soon, and it’s a top priority! I do hope I’ll fit OITNB in my summer schedule.
I read mix reviews about Dear Amy, my enthusiasm is a bit lower now.
    Happy reading! 🙂

    1. Oh I haven’t read any reviews about Dear Amy yet but I like it so far. I hope it remains that way to the end. I haven’t watched Gilmore Girls in forever. Is it a new season or are you doing reruns of the past seasons. I am so far behind in Suits but hope to catch up sometime. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading 🙂

I only discovered Gilmore Girls a few weeks ago, so I’m slowly catching up 🙂 I’ve reached season 4. The new series gets released later this year I think!
I hope you do catch up on Suits, even though the two firsts seasons were the best, and I was so disappointed in the last half of season 5.

  2. Love when authors respond to a tweet when you least expect it. OITNB was amazing!! I also didn’t read anything that weekend when it came out. I was sucked into the show!

    1. I love how we can do that with OINTB because all episodes are released together.Awesome though devastating season 😦 Yeah tweets from authors are amazing. This was random, I wasn’t even following him on twitter before then so it was a pleasant surprise. Happy reading 🙂

  3. I loved All the Missing Girls…and Twisted looks like one I’d enjoy. I’m slowly watching Season 4 of OITNB…because I need to savor it. Bingeing only makes me sad that another year must go by before the next season arrives…lol.

    Here’s MY WWW POST

    1. haha enjoy OINTB, its quite a season. I watched it in two days because I had to stop in between for some sleep 🙂 I can’t believe that we have to wait for another year though. Thanks for stopping by. Heading over to your post now.

  4. I have The Night Stalker on my list as well! I’m definitely going to read it early next month. And I have been thinking of getting Dear Amy, but I don’t want to request too many books right away… 😉 Twisted sounds great as well. I hope you’ll enjoy your books this week!

    1. Thanks Yvo.I did go crazy with my initial requests lol I received 14 ARCs and I have only read one book so limiting the number of requests you make is the right way to go.Happy reading 🙂

      1. I guess I’m ‘lucky’ to only have 5 approved so far (and a few pending), and 2 books already finished. 😉 Although I think I’m going to read them all before requesting any new ones anyway… Happy reading!

  6. It’s lovely when an author comments on your review isn’t it? I do like the sound of all your books this week – especially All The Missing Girls so I’ll be back to check out your review.

    1. Yes, it is always awesome when authors comment and especially when they describe your review as stunning lol but its pressure always when you have to do a negative review and hence worry about the author seeing it 😦 Thanks Cleo. Happy reading.

  7. These are such interesting reads! I hope you enjoy them!
I haven’t found the time yet to binge OITNB! I’m hoping to get to it in July and avoiding spoilers until then! Definitely one of my favourite shows!
    Happy Reading 🙂

    1. Thanks Faith. I hope that you will enjoy OINTB once you get to it. It is definitely one of my favorite shows too. I couldn’t avoid the spoilers this time because I forgot that I had followed the OINTB facebook page last season. I hope that you will avoid them though. Happy reading too.
