To take part all you need to do is answer the following questions:

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So here’s my 3 W’s for the week.

Recently Finished

Me_Before_You_(film)

I read three books this week and I finally got to watch Me Before You. I enjoyed the movie though I was a little irked by all that was left out from the book. I loved the casting though and I think it was a pretty decent movie. Now I can’t wait to watch The Girl in the Train later on this year. So here is what I recently finished reading:

The Stepmother by Claire Seeber

This book was a bit hard to review. I have seen numerous positive reviews of this book but I don’t think that this one was for me. You can read my review here.

Twisted by Hannah Jayne

This was another book that had quite an interesting synopsis but was a little bit predictable. Here is my full review.

The Beauty of the End by Debbie Howells

Okay, you can now bring out the confetti. We have a winner! My second 5 star ARC rating. This book is good. My review will be up tomorrow.

Currently Reading

My Girl by Jack Jordan

I just started reading this so I haven’t formed an opinion yet apart from the fact that I really hate a certain Dr. Abdullah from the first chapter.

anything for her

Reading Next

Anything for Her by Jack Jordan

I will be reading my second book by Jack Jordan this week.

So how about you, any interesting books that you have read lately? What are you reading now? What do you plan on reading next? Feel free to leave your WWW links in the comments section.

  1. Haven’t read any of those except for Me Before You and My Girl (which I didn’t like at all… but I think I’m the only one haha). The beauty of the end looks great!

    1. lol I get why you probably didn’t like it. The book is small but its taking me quite sometime to get through it. I am halfway in but still wondering where the story is going and I keep hoping something will happen soon 🙂 Thanks for the comment. Happy reading.

  2. I can only agree with you on The Stepmother! I’ll read your review once I’ve written mine, my head is still processing, haha. I am happy not to be the only one feeling let down by the story, I saw so many great reviews that I thought maybe I had missed something. You got me curious about The Beauty of The End, I’m looking forward to your review. I love it when ARCs turn out to be awesome discoveries.
    Happy reading 🙂

    1. Thanks Donna. I thought that I was the only who struggled with The Step Mother. I checked the reviews on Goodreads and most people had given it a 5 star rating but I just didn’t like it that much. I hope that you will get to read and enjoy The Beauty of The End. Its pretty good. Happy reading too 🙂

  3. You’re the second person I’ve seen say that The Stepmother wasn’t that great, and I know a few other people who’ve had trouble enjoying some of the author’s other works, so I think I will pass on that one. Glad to hear you had a five-star read in there, though! 🙂

    Here’s my WWW post

    1. Thanks Emily. I had very high expectations with The Step Mother especially after reading so many wonderful reviews so it was quite disappointing. There are many readers who seem to have enjoyed though so perhaps give it a look when you get a chance 🙂 Happy reading. Heading over to your post now 🙂

    1. I haven’t read anything else by Debbie Howells. I really liked this one though so I hope that you will enjoy it much more than the first one if you get to read it. Thanks for stopping by, heading over to your post now. Happy reading 🙂

  4. I’ve only seen the trailer for Me Before You, but it definitely gave the impression they got the casting spot on. Getting Louisa right is tricky because she can be a bit annoying (especially at the beginning of the book), but she has to be lovable too and I think Olivia Clarke is a perfect choice to pull that off. Hopefully one day I’ll catch up with it (getting to the cinema is a bit tricky now with a small person to take care of, but eventually everything ends up on TV!).

Thanks for visiting my WWW post (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/07/20/www-wednesday-20th-july-2016/) and happy reading!

    1. Small person is definitely the best companion but I get what you mean about not being able to get to the cinema right now:-) I watched it on DvD so I hope that you will be able to watch it soon too.I agree with you about the cast being spot on. Emilia Clarke portrayed Louisa really well. Thanks for returning the visit. Happy reading too:-)

    1. The movie is still pretty good even with the missing parts. I hope that you will enjoy it once you get to watch it. Thanks for visiting. Happy reading 🙂

    1. There are my first books by the author so far.I hope they will turn out to be interesting. Thanks for stopping by.Happy reading. On my way to your post now.

  5. I’m glad you thought ‘Me Before You’ was well done. I haven’t read the book but I was thinking of seeing the film still. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

  6. I haven’t heard of Jack Jordan so will be interested to see what you think. Glad to hear you enjoyed Me Before You (book and film). I was lucky to have a gap between reading and watching so I didn’t really notice what was missing from the film. I went to the cinema on my own to watch so I didn’t embarrass myself in front of people I know with the ugly crying 🙂

    1. haha, I watched it alone too for the same reason and because I know my friends also get annoyed when I keep pointing out just how different the movie is from the book :-)I will post my reviews of the two books by Jack Jordan over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading and enjoy your weekend:-)

  7. I hope you will enjoy My Girl! The characters are not really likeable, but it was one of the darkest and most twisted thrillers I’ve read so far this year… Just wait until you reach the interesting part. 😉

    1. I finished reading it and yes, big twists and definitely the darkest and most twisted thriller.Perhaps, too dark for me though 😦 I am now reading his other book, Anything for Her which so far is going great. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading 🙂

      1. It’s definitely a dark one… Good to hear Anything For Her is good as well, I might request it once I’m back. Happy reading!

  8. Really intrigued to see what they left out of the book. It’s one of my favourite books of all time, so I’m a little worried! 😀 Happy Reading!

    1. Don’t be worried. The great casting makes up for the skipped parts which were not so many. I hope that you will enjoy the movie as much as you enjoyed the book. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading.

  9. I haven’t actually heard of any of the books you mentioned. Sometimes new books take a little longer to reach my part of the world. :)) I haven’t seen Me Before You but I loved the choice of Emilia Clarke as Lou, since I was thinking of Helena Bonham Carter as I read it. And I was surprised to see Emily Blunt cast in The Girl on The Train, I love her and I found Rachel kind of repulsive in the book.

    1. Oh the new books are all from NetGalley so I got them online. It takes too long for new books to get here also( I am in Kenya). Emilia Clarke was such a wonderful choice for Louisa. She fir the part perfectly. I am also excited by the choice of Emily Blunt, I can’t wait to see how she will portray Rachel. I had a different image of Rachel when I was reading the book though I didn’t dislike her character much. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend and happy reading 🙂
