So here’s my 3 W’s for the week.
Recently Finished
Trevor Noah’s: Born a Crime– Brilliant memoir. This is the first book that I have read set in South Africa. I learned so much about apartheid and what it was like to be of mixed race at a time when interracial relationships were illegal. I am glad that Trevor Noah decided to share his story with the world. You can read my review here.
Stay with me by Ayobami Adebayo– another gem from West Africa. This is a story of a woman struggling to have a child amidst a lot of societal pressure. It is a heartbreaking story. Here is my review.
Tell me how this ends by Victoria De La O- This book ended up being better than I expected. I loved it. You can find my review here.
Currently Reading
The Murder Game by Catherine McKenzie-I am almost done. This book reminds me so much of the TV show, How to get away with murder. I can’t wait to find out how it ends.

This Child of Mine by Sinead Moriarity
Happy Wednesday!
Right? It was totally like How to get away with murder! (BTW, did you watch last episode? O M G)
Imagine I haven’t started watching the latest season. I thought of waiting for all episodes to be out then doing a marathon. I have seen the spoiler on facebook though. My friend posted his pic(you know whose) and wrote R.I.P. I was so shocked. I can’t wait to start watching though.I wonder what happened:-(
Ouch. I saw the spoiler befote watching it too. I don’t like your friend 😂
I don’t like him too lol. A lot of people were upset by the spoiler so hopefully he won’t do it again. I have just checked online and seems like the next episode will be out in January so I guess its time to watch the 9 now:-)
Haha Yes, you have time! You’ll see..

Interesting list. I don’t think I’ve come across any of these but I really like the sound of The Murder Game so I’ll need to add it to my TBR mountain 🙂
haha TBR mountains are never a bad thing 🙂 The Murder Game is great so far. It is a mix of psychological and legal thriller.
Sounds perfect. I haven’t come across many legal thrillers
Oh wow! What a great list of books!
Born a Crime is one I’ve been ogling. I’ll have to pick it up one day soon.
Seeing the Murder Game reminds me that I’ve forgotten to watch HTGAWM this season…
Happy Reading 🙂

I just started watching the new season of HTGAWM yesterday. It has 9 episodes so far and won’t continue until January. You should check it out when you get a chance:-)

I’m also reading The Murder Game (in addition to one from last week!). This Child of Mine grabs my attention, too. Enjoy! Here’s MY WWW POST
I hope that you are enjoying The Murder Game so far. I just finished reading it yesterday. Happy reading 🙂
It sounds like you had a very good reading week 🙂 I admit I watched a bit of How to get away with murder and did not fall for the show when my hubby was so sure I was gonna love it! Still, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the book! Happy reading.
Thank you and sorry to hear that HGAWM didn’t work for you.Do you like legal drama like The Good Wife,Suits?
I love Suits but never really got into The Good Wife, probably because I kept watching random episodes on TV in French!
I keep seeing The Murder Game popping up. I’m off to Goodreads to check it out! I hope the ending is as good as the rest of it so far.
Happy reading!
Just finished reading it and it was great. If you get a chance then check out Fractured by Catherine McKenzie. The protagonist is the pen name used by Catherine in Murder Game.Happy reading too 🙂
Your comments have made me want to read The Murder Game even more than I already did having read so many great reviews… my willpower is seriously struggling!!
Haha I hope that you will get it.Its interesting.Have you read Fractured by Catherine McKenzie?
No – I’m guessing I should read it first?
Ohh you have me curious about Born A Crime now! I have some distant relatives in South Africa and I guess that’s why the apartheid has always interested me… This memoir sounds truly interesting.
Oh that’s interesting.I don’t know anyone in SA but I’ve always wanted to visit.I didn’t know much about apartheid before this book.Reading about it is quite heartbreaking .I hope you get to read the memoir
The Murder Game sounds… thrilling! I don’t watch HTGAWM but now I’m imtrigued since everyone seems to love it! 🙂
The show and the book are interesting.Check them out when you get a chance 🙂
This is a great list! I can’t wait to read Trevor Noah’s book. I’m super impressed that you are able to stay on top of your reviewing. I finish books and don’t write my reviews for weeks after. You are a better blogger than I! 🙂
lol I try and write the reviews as soon as possible when I can still remember everything because I don’t take notes while reading. Do you usually take notes as you read?
If I am reading with an eReader I do. But not really with paper books. I tend to lose my notes when I do try. I will often scan the synopsis or Goodreads to refresh my memory. It’s not always perfect, though. That’s why I don’t publish reviews for all the books I’ve read! Only the reviews I think make the cut get it. 🙂
