Top Ten Binge-worthy TV Shows

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme originated by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl .  This week the theme is Binge-worthy TV Shows/Amazing Movies.

It is been a while since I participated in Top Ten Tuesday. I decided to take a break from usual book reviews this week and share with you some of my favorite TV shows.

Orange is the New Black

OINTB is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. Every year, a new season is released around July/August.  Thankfully, this show is on Netflix so we get all 13 episodes at once. I can’t recommend this series enough!

This Power

This show is on fire! This season has been insane. Sunday’s episode ended with a huge cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Power has a great cast, some really good looking guys(their acting is great too lol) and lots of drama.

This is an old series but I just had to include it on this list. I remember getting all 6/7 seasons and watching them in about a week. Definitely recommended for fans of crime series and readers who enjoyed the You series by Caroline Kepnes.

This is my favorite reality show. I have never missed an episode of this show. A while back, I introduced my fiancé to the show and it is been fun binge watching the series with him.

I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this series! I watched the first and second seasons back to back in July. Currently watching the third season. It is so real and I love the cast!

Criminal Minds

I love this show! I used to enjoy it more when Shemar Moore and Thomas Gibson were in it. I am still hooked though.

Bates Motel

This is one addictive show about a twisted mother- son team. I watched all seasons and was sad when the series ended. If you are looking for something twisty, creepy but also really good then this is your show.

Sons of Anarchy

I swear I almost became a biker because to this show. I can’t ride a bicycle but SOA still made me want to buy a Harley! I had a little crush on Charlie Hunnam, Jax Teller.

Episode 103

Talk of dysfunctional families. The Gallaghers are a mess but they sure are entertaining to watch.

Good Girls

I watched the first season recently and I am totally hooked. The show is about three suburban ladies who find themselves in a tough spot financially and decide to try out crime. Disater! It is so funny and addictive plus Manny Montana is um, you know, that guy though!

Two Shows that I need to watch

The Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad has been recommended to me by everyone plus their neighbors and pets. I know I am almost 10 seasons behind but I hope to binge-watch these two shows by December this year or next year.

TV Show that I can’t wait to watch

sharp objects

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn – I just bought the book so that I can read it before watching the series.

Have you watched any of these shows? Kindly let me know your favorite TV shows. If you participated in TT this week, feel free to leave me your links on the comment section. Happy Tuesday!

  1. Oh my! I am next in recommending Game of Thrones, I am eagerly waiting for season 7. I have book marked this to come back and remind myself of 3 series that I need to watch: I haven’t watched, insecure, OITNB, Good girls and shameless. I also loved season 1 and 2 of Power I hope to catch up on season 3. Thanks for sharing this meme, I will share mine next week.

    1. I really need to watch Game of Thrones. I think I need to start now so that I can catch up by the time season 7 begins in 2019 🙂 You will love season 3 of Power. The amount of twists in it is just crazy. The show is on fire! I hope that you will enjoy the 4 series that you have mentioned.

      Thank you 🙂

    1. Yeah, I also didn’t like it when Derek and Hodge left Criminal Minds. I still wtach it because I like all the cases and the twisted unsubs 🙂

  2. I think they only aired Dexter, Criminal Minds and Game of Thrones here on tv but I haven’t watched either. I’d loooove to watch Sharp Objects and Orange is the New Black! My favorite shows are How To Get Away With Murder and a funny one about a group of friends called Happy Endings 🙂

    1. I remember Happy Endings, I think I watched only the first season though a while back. I love How to Get Away with Murder though I am currently one season behind. Dexter and Criminal Minds are both good though they are now on season 7 and 13 respectively 🙂

  3. Oh, this is a great list, Diana! Some I know and love and some I need to check out! I have Sharp Objects waiting on the DVR, and I’ve read the book, so I need to watch them! King of Thrones is one of my favorites, and I’m surprised I like it, but wow, is it ever good. I hope you enjoy it too!

    1. I look forward to watching Game of Thrones. So glad to hear that it is one one of your favourite shows. I can’t wait to read Sharp Objects so that I can watch the TV show. Thanks Jen 🙂

  4. I have seen only a few of these! Loved Bates Motel and watched all of them (also sad when it ended)! Creepy creepy! Game of Thrones is also good, but it took me at least 3 episodes so sort everything out. Breaking Bad is also one I watched a while ago (good also).

    1. Sad to say goodbye to Bates Motel also. That was one twisted show, totally creepy. I can’t wait to watch Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. I have heard nothing but good things about the two shows.

    1. That series also ended up surprising me. I watched season 1 and got totally hooked. Sad that it ended. I hope that you will enjoy the final season. Its the creepiest but still so good 🙂

  5. Ah, i used to be obsessed with Dexter! Loved that show.

Watched Good Girls recently as well. I liked it quite a bit 🙂 Agreed on that dude… ❤ 😀

Still need to watch Sharp Objects… planning to watch it with the BF, so now just not-so-patiently waiting for him to return from his month long holiday…

    1. Dexter was awesome 🙂 Haha glad to hear that we are in agreement about Manny in Good Girls. I can’t wait for season 2 already especially after how season 1 ended.

Have you read Sharp Objects yet? I am so tempted to watch it before reading the book. I hope that we will both enjoy it 🙂

      1. I read Sharp Objects a few years ago. Kinda remember it but i’m sure i forgot some tiny details. Prolly for the best, cuz otherwise i’d complain if they changed it in the series 😀

    1. I am so glad to meet a fellow fan of SOA ❤ Thank you so much for mentioning Mayans. I would have missed that because I hadn't heard about it yet. Just watched the trailer and its definitely a series that I will be following 🙂

    1. I can’t wait to also start watching GoT. Glad to hear that you are enjoying it and I do hope that my experience will be the same. Nice to meet a fellow fan of Criminal Minds. Thanks for the link.

    1. Its so nice to meet another fan of Survivor 🙂 I have three workmates who love the show and so we always analyze each season especially the blindsides. Yes, I definitely need to watch GoT. It seems that I am really missing out on a great show.

    1. I am so excited about the new season too. Can’t wait for 28th so that we meet the new castaways. Its always so nice to meet fellow fans of the show 🙂 Thanks Lauren.

  6. It’s never too late to catch up on Game of Thrones! I do need to watch Good Girls — have heard really good things. I’m a Survivor fan too! My son and I have been watching it together for the past few years, and we so much fun analyzing the strategies. Great list!

    1. Thank you Lisa. Its nice to hear that you and your son like Survivor. Its so much fun having someone else to discuss the strategies and all the alliances with. Can’t wait for the new season that begins later this month 🙂

I definitely have to watch GoT. I have heard nothing but good things about it.

  7. The Game Of Thrones is one of my all time favorite series! I really enjoyed Breaking Bad as well… I’m actually watching a spin off series of that one right now. And I totally didn’t know there was going to be a TV series based on Sharp Objects! Definitely looking forward to that one.

    1. I think I know about the spin off, it has the name Saul in the title? My fiance really liked Breaking Bad so he is now watching that other show. I remember him mentioning something about it being connected to BB. I can’t wait to start watching Game of Thrones. So glad to hear that its one of your favorite shows.

I hope that you will enjoy Sharp Objects 🙂

  8. Dexter, Survivor, Bates Motel, and Sons of Anarchy are all among my favorite shows! If I’d made a list this week, I’d probably have added them too! LOL! Did you know the new season of Survivor starts September 26th?!

    1. Yes, I can’t wait for the new season already! I really enjoyed the last season and liked the 3 players who got to the end. I am hoping that this one will be great too with some nice blindsides 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog Maggie.

  9. YES! You definitely need to watch both Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad; they have some of the finest characterization work in all of television, in my opinion, though GoT has gotten worse ever since they ran out of source material to work with. I *need* to watch Power and Bates Motel. Great list, Diana, and happy watching. 🙂

  10. I can’t believe I’ve never seen any of these shows, Diana. Where have I been, under water? I was laughing when you said SOA made you want to buy a Harley but you can’t ride a regular bike. 🤣
Thanks for sharing. You’ve shown me some interesting titles that I’ll be looking up. I’m saving this post. 😊

    1. I am glad to hear that, Laurie. I hope that you will get the chance to watch one of these shows. You could start with Good Girls or Dexter if you get the chance.

Yes, SOA still makes me want to get a Harley haha but I need to first learn how to ride regular bike despite my fear of falling off 😀
